Every woman deserves to have a caring and compassionate physician on their side when it comes to breast health. In our country 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer within their lifetime. There will be approximately 179,000 new cases of female breast cancer in the U.S. in 2007 with 41,000 deaths. At Clermont Surgical Associates we strive to stay on top of new developments in the treatment and diagnostic modalities available when it comes to breast health. Within our office we offer routine breast screening, review of radiology studies, Ultrasound performed by our physician, biopsies and surgical treatment of breast diseases. In our office we have a Mammotome biopsy device for minimally invasive biopsies. We also offer Mammosite catheter placement for high dose radiation treatment of a breast cancer (in conjunction with the radiation oncologist). We also offer genetic screening and counseling for those at high risk.
